01What's included in the maintenance retainer?

Monthly WooCommerce and plugin updates with staging verification, daily offsite backups, malware scanning, security hardening, uptime monitoring, and a pool of priority dev hours for small fixes.

02How often are plugins and core updated?

Critical security updates apply within 24 hours. Regular updates are batched and tested on staging weekly, then pushed to production on a schedule you approve. You never get surprise updates breaking checkout.

03What happens if something breaks after an update?

We roll back immediately from the pre-update backup, root-cause the conflict on staging, and re-apply once fixed. Rollback is included in the retainer, not charged as incident work.

04Do you handle security incidents?

Yes. Malware removal, credential rotation, and hardening are included. If the store is hacked we're on it within one business hour during UK hours, faster on higher retainer tiers.

05Can I get priority dev hours for small changes?

Every retainer includes a pool of dev hours for small fixes (copy changes, new shipping rules, plugin config, etc.). Unused hours roll over one month. Larger work gets quoted separately.

06What's not covered by the retainer?

Feature development, redesigns, new integrations, and major migrations are scoped as separate engagements. The retainer keeps your store running; it's not a bottomless dev bucket.
